Dual Boot issue Leopard + Snow
« on: September 09, 2009, 10:34:20 PM »
Hi, everyone
I've three hard disks, one IDE and two SATAs(AHCI),on GA EP35-DS3P, on IDE HD i've Vista, on the SATAs i've Leopard and Snow Leopard. In BIOS the first boot device is Leoapard Disk with Chameleon 2.0 RC3. If i boot to leopard all is ok.
First Issue:
    - If i select Snow Leopard(with Chameleon 2 RC3, too installed), it boots Snow Extra Extensions(Ex. fakesmc.kext, and others), but not smbios.plist, and com.apple.Boot.plist, which are loaded from Leopard Hard DIsk(I'donĀ“t tested but I think that DSDT.aml is loaded from Leopard HD too).

Second Isuue:
    - If add arch=i386 to com.apple.Boot.plist in System/Extensions folder I get KP booting Snow.
    - If add arch=i386 to com.apple.Boot.plist in Leopard/Extra folder I get KP booting Snow.
    - If add arch=i386 to com.apple.Boot.plist in Snow/Extra folder nothing it boot on 64 mode(Surly it load Leopard HD com.apple.Boot.plist.
BUT if add manually arch=i386 at the moment to select th Snow Leo at boot time, then it works 32bit mode.

This is the diskutil list booting in Snow, with Leopard HD first device in BIOS Settings.
