help VoodooHDA - no sound

i have 2 devices to choose from, unknown and spdif-out ..neither work, i do not have any sound out of any of em..and all volumes are turned up

i have sigmatel 22xx internal sound
soundblaster xfi sound card..

any help would be greatly appreciated
