install on USB drive, is it possible?
« on: October 07, 2009, 07:49:30 PM »
hello All,

I am a total newbie here so - please - don't shoot me...

I have an HP notebook, 6910p, running Intrepid, and I would like to install Show Leonard on an external USB drive.

Is that possible at all?
Will I always need the Chameleon CD to boot into Leo? I guess so.
If it is not possible with a USB drive, maybe I could use a FW drive?

I will do my homework, but just wanted to check if I'm heading to "mission impossible".

thanks for your time!
-Gian

If your BIOS allows you to boot from it, and it's visible in the Mac OS installer, yes.
10.9.5 - ASUS P8Z77-V Pro - i5 3570K - GTX 660 - Chameleon 2.3 svn-r2xxx
