[Tip]: Volumes with  name cause grambled partition name
« on: September 29, 2009, 05:44:38 PM »
I was using this :
/dev/disk0
   #:                       TYPE NAME                    SIZE       IDENTIFIER
   0:      GUID_partition_scheme                        *37.3 Gi    disk0
   1:                        EFI                         200.0 Mi   disk0s1
   2:                  Apple_HFS Leopard                 37.0 Gi    disk0s2
/dev/disk1
   #:                       TYPE NAME                    SIZE       IDENTIFIER
   0:     FDisk_partition_scheme                        *465.8 Gi   disk1
   1:               Windows_NTFS Windows XP              100.0 Gi   disk1s1
   2:               Windows_NTFS DATA                    365.6 Gi   disk1s2
   3:                  Apple_HFS .BOOT                  125.5 Mi   disk1s3

and when i use the BSOD Theme (http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,800.0.html), the partitions name was grambled. So I deleted the  on Leopard and the name come back again. Any ideas?

It's because the  character is not in the fonts that Chameleon uses, so it won't know how to render it. The available characters are !”#$%&’()*+,-./0123456789:;<=>?@ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ[\]^_’abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz{|}~
