Weird Path in voodoohdahelper
« on: October 26, 2009, 03:42:34 PM »
First of all, thanks for the work you do! My MSI Wind really rocks now!

I am using the .22 version of VoodooHDA, and the sound works great! As does the prefs pane. However, there is one slight problem I'm having with the helper. Whenever it runs, it tries to pick up the prefs from settings file path: /Users/JimoodooHDADevice/Library/Preferences/VoodooHDA.settings. I did verify that the prefs are loaded in settings file path: /Users/Jim/Library/Preferences/VoodooHDA.settings and that both the pref pane and the kext  expect them there.

My user name is in fact Jim, but notice the extra characters there....... I was able to get around this by creating a symlink, but I hate those...... so counter-intuitive......

Any ideas/help?

Thanks!
Jim

I was affected by this as well, it seems to me that's a bug in voodoohdahelper.
See my post in the source thread.
