Chameleon and Ext4 support ?
« on: November 08, 2009, 09:09:32 AM »
Hi @ll

Since I'am having trouble with booting Osx using Grub2 (while grub legacy was working flawlessly)
I considered to swap into the sexy Chameleon (last version) ...
Unfortunately, this time the Ubuntu 9.10 failed to be recognised with Chameleon.
Since the Karmic Koala is using Ext4 format ... my question is :
Does Chameleon support it ... and if not .. will it someday?
Thx ;-)

Here is what i did step by step :

- Installing Ubuntu fresh (+ format Ext4)
- Being careful to load bootloader to the partition were Ubuntu was installed.

=> No noticable change, still Chameleon RC3 onboard ...

- Once I logged into Mac OsX, I decided to re-install Chameleon to check
if the news changes (ubuntu fresh install) were to be discovered.
- No luck, nothing moved ... still the same (and beautiful) Chameleon Bootloader.

My Ubuntu (Karmic Koala) partition is not detected.

I do have access to my Mac Osx and Windows partitions.

Therefore, I someone can push the lines were Cameleon is forced to detect
Karmic Koala (I'll be gratefull)

Thx to @nyone helping with this one.
