Cant Boot At All
« on: November 19, 2009, 05:03:13 PM »
i have windows 7 installed on my laptop and i wanted to install osx via kalyway cd. install from kalyway cd went fine until installation finished and i got a grey screen with an apple logo that just stood there for about 45 minutes until i decided to reboot the computer (using the power button). now when i turn on my computer it POSTs then goes to a black screen with a cursor blinking and never loads anything i let it sit there for a while...I am assuming this is because by restarting my computer i missed the final step of installing the chameleon bootloader when i got inside osx. is there any way i can install the chameleon bootloader from a live cd or something like that so i can get my computer to boot into either windows or osx? please help i am a complete noob and this is my first time messing around with this stuff. i thank anyone in advance for any help or advice!

You should be able to use your Windows 7 install DVD to repair your installation so that you can at least boot into Windows.
