Created bootable USB, but no trackpad
« on: November 20, 2009, 01:49:43 PM »
Hi!

I was hoping someone could point me where I should be looking to solve this problem.

I have put my Leopard install DVD onto a USB stick and then manually installed Chameleon.  I also copied in a couple of kexts (disabler and something else) to get it to boot.  When I boot up my netbook, Chameleon runs fine and then my Leopard install DVD (on the USB stick) works fine, BUT it doesn't recognise my trackpad.  If I fire up my bluetooth mighty mouse, it all works flawlessly, but I'd like it to work with the trackpad.

So can anyone suggest where I need to be looking?  Do I need to be looking for a suitable kext?  Do I need a boot.plist or a dsdt file (I'm currently running without either).

Thanks for any pointers!

Okay Guys, sorted it.  Not sure exactly what I did, but I found a set of kexts for my netbook (Dell Mini), copied them across into my Extensions directory and now the trackpad works.
