Title: 512B sectors soon to be an anachronism

I've known for some time that HDDs would be transitioning to larger sector sizes. What I did not realize until this week is that all major drive manufacturers are committed to making this transition very soon.

drive companies are migrating away from the legacy sector size of 512 bytes
to a larger, more efficient sector size of 4096 bytes, generally referred to as 4K

Disk Drive Equipment and Materials Association)"

If you are not yet thinking about the implications of this change, it's time to start the process.
