Hi, my first post. Problem: on my eeepc only the memory bank not integrated on the motherboard was found from chameleon, last revision from trunk. The other, integrated, isn't read. My last reason to use yet the smbios.plist is this.
I think all netbooks with a memoty bank integrated have the same problem.
Is it fixable?
00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Memory Controller Hub [8086:27ac] (rev 03)
Any help is appreciated

Hi Lungren,
as far as i know, that's solved on Kabyl's branch; i just don't know when it will be merged to the trunk!?
Check this (http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/issues/32/) forge issue on this problem.
-
Tried with kabyl's booter already, but the problem is still the same.
The memory bank integrated on the motherboard isn't read, the other, "a normal bank", does.
All netbooks have this problem, my friend with msi u120, have the same problem.
The only reason for smbios plist is this.
Hope this'll be solve next

Yeah, i know the issue with "on-board" ram module... was assuming that Zane's problem was/is the same; sorry.
Try posting on that forge issue, maybe it's related.

post an ioreg.

Ioreg

You don't seem to be using UseMemDetect=Yes (?)
Try getting me an ioreg with the booter from my branch.
-
I usen't memdetect because this' the problem. Only one bank. I should use also smbios. So i use only smbios. This is.
I try already boot from your branch, and the problem doesn't change.

This is it

Any other help?
-
Yes, if you can get a dump from CPU-Z in Windows, it would help.
-
Here, dump of my msi u90, with the same problem.
-
But, in your opinion, the 'problem' is solved in some way? Or necessary for this platform is always the smbios?
-
The first DIMM's SPD can't be accessed through SMBus, which is what the booter uses to read DIMMs information.
-
Ok, thank you. Hence the problem isn't solved. Right?
-
Unfortunately, it's not solved.
It's not a bug in the booter, the problem is knowing how to read the first DIMM's SPD, if this SPD exists to start with, and then writing support for that.
-
Well, ok. At least i've delete my last doubt. Thanks for help. Thanks for explanation.
