This is a theme I worked on a while back for demonstrating the new rollover effect in RC5, so I thought I would finally make it a suitable theme for release.  To quickly explain the rollover effect, it's a modification to Chameleon's GUI which replaces the highlighted device with a different graphic as well as drawing the device_selection graphic under the highlighted device. This is now a feature to be found on Chameleon RC5.

So to use this, you will need one of the latest pre-relase builds of Chameleon RC5. If you use this on RC4, you will not see a device_selection graphic and will not be able to visually see which device you're selecting in the GUI, though one can be added if necessary.

To achieve the rollover effect, the theme uses an alternative device icon for each device and the booter identifies them by a '_o' at the end of the filename. So there will be the following extra files:

•   device_generic_o.png
•   device_hfsplus_o.png
•   device_ext3_o.png
•   device_fat16_o.png
•   device_fat32_o.png
•   device_ntfs_o.png
•   device_cdrom_o.png

I have tested this theme out on both 1680x1050 and 1024x768 and it fits fine. If you have a smaller display then you might want to resize the icons using the resizing guide (http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,237.0.html).

I have also attached here a few optional devices for the ext3 and ntfs devices which can be used to replace the ones I have supplied in the main theme folder. If you want to use a certain pair of icons then you'll need to rename them the same as the one's you're replacing in the main theme folder.

Hi Blackosx,

I was wondering if you could make the Chameleon text of the logo white. I'm modifying this theme with a black background, but if you use a black background, the text Chameleon (in front of RC5) "disappears". So, if you have the time, could you provide a logo with a white Chameleon text? Would be awesome :D.

Here you go - two versions, one with white text and one with 50% transparent white text (which will look grey on a black background).

So, if you want this theme with a black background, the download is in this post ;). Just added a black background and made the fonts white ;). I chose the white text because the fonts were also white, not grey ;)
