Am I understanding this correctly - since r1036 we must change Manufacter in smbios.plist to Manufacturer?
http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/source/commit/1036/
Thanks.

I've just checked commit 1036 and I see it too. Thanks for the pointer Gringo.
With all the recent action going on at the repo it's even more important to keep an eye on the CHANGES file. I guess it's time to spread the word about this particular change.

Yeah there's a lot happening, Azi is back in full force and
Zef Meklort just opened a new branch called "rewrite". 8)
The reason why I was asking is because I had not changed manufacter to manufacturer until last night (several svn builds later than 1036) and it still seemed to be working, ie I could read DMI info via Bresink's Temperature Monitor and still get Apple, Inc.
Therefore I was wondering if the change was "internal" only and didn't have anything to do with the user side of things.
"manufacter" is in there for a long time, all the way back to this historic document: http://pastie.org/pastes/333621/text

From file "CHANGES" included with SVN trunk:
- Added "ShowInfo" key (enabled by default for now), which enables/disables the display of
partition and resolution related info, on the Gui.
This info may not play well with some custom themes.
- Modules can now be selected between not compiled, compiled into chameleon, or compiled as modules.
- New makefile + configuration system.
- Added the BOOT2_MAX_LENGTH constant in memory.h. This is now used in mboot.c to relocate the correct
number of bytes for boot2.
- Added new ATi/AMD Graphics Card Enabler.
- Added new SMBIOS patcher.
Includes changes to "manufacter" keys, from SM*manufacter to SM*manufacturer.
- Added module system.

Hi guys... sorry for the delay Gringo... i needed a serious amount of rest :P
Yeah, this change has always been on Kabyl's rework of the SMBIOS patcher; i just came across it again,
while checking the trunk against my Chazi. I always though he had overseen it, but no... he confirmed otherwise :)
I just tried to call the attention to it on r1036, by editing that smbios.plist example.
I remember these keys causing problems because someone would read them and while writing them,
they would correct them "unconsciously" to "manufacturer", or get puzzled by it and though it was a Chameleon bug.
On other matter, it was Meklort who created the "rewrite" branch... stay tuned, yeah :P
And do keep an eye on the changes... every were.
See ya later...
