Title: [Theme] LinenBoot
Post by: tejaswi.rohit on June 18, 2012, 08:14:14 PM
(http://i.imgur.com/Quon7l.jpg)

As the name suggests this theme is based on the Linen background, design inspired from Apple.

• A minimal design theme inspired from LoginToLion.
• Monochromatic Icons
• Backgrounded boot, instead of the traditional grey color.
   - Please paste boot.png file according to your native resolution in the root folder of the theme
(http://i.imgur.com/KKC96l.jpg)

The default resolution when you download the theme is 1920x1080. I have added 1600x900 and 1280x720 resolution background and boot files. Please replace them according to your resolution.

In case your native resolution boot image is not available the boot screen might appear stretched. Don't hesitate to request for a boot image, I'll make one for you :)

Ver 1.1 : Added separate icons for Lion and Snow Leopard. ( OSX Detection icons)

Ver 1.2 : - Added 1920x1200 Background and Boot images
              - Clear (transparent) logo image option

Ver 1.3 : Added Mountain Lion OS X detection icon.

Mod Edit: I've made a revised thumb.jpg to better fit the main Theme Park page.

hey, great theme,
but it seams to be incompatible with the OS detection feature.

Nicely done!  Any chance of supporting 1920x1200 and maybe a version without the chameleon at the top?  I love the look of the theme and though the chameleon looks cool at the top and you did great work with it, the minimalist in me would appreciate an option to not have it there....LOVE the linen look with the dark icons!

I'll be adding 1920x1200 for sure and will also a provide a blank logo to replace the current one at top. :)

Update : I have added the options you requested for. Sorry for the late update :)

You might have enabled Legacy Logo which overrides the theme's Boot logo. Make sure you have "Legacy Logo"= No in your boot.plist . Hope it helps :)

I'm afraid I can't help you with that. I know a tutorial to mod your AMD/ATI VBIOS to add custom resolutions but I have no clue about Nvidia VBIOS mods :(

thanks for your theme.

I downloaded your theme and I'm using it right now.

But Unfortunately like any other graphics card, mine is using 800x600 screen resolution and the edges of my screen are still black.

I love to use 1920x1080 screen resolution in my Bootloader. So can you please guide how to do it ? (  or redirect me to a guide for doing this ? )

My Graphic Card : nVidia Geforce 560 Ti

MB : Asus P8P67 Delux

Tnx.

Unless your VBIOS supports widescreen VESA resolutions you won't be able to get native resolution at boot. There are several tutorials to mod a ATI/AMD VBIOS to add custom resolutions which match ones native resolution. Incase modding the VBIOS is not an option you can force set Chameleon boot resolution which will set a resolution from one of the VESA resolutions which are available on the VBIOS of the  card and is close to the forced/native resolution.

Add "Graphics Mode"=1920x1080x32 in your boot.plist . That will make Chameleon to force that resolution at boot, if that resolution is not supported by VBIOS it'll force an other resolution close enough to the native resolution of the monitor which is available in the VBIOS resolutions.

Did you intentionally make the windows logo backwards?

I like your boot.png and applied it to the log-in-to-lion theme I use. Its pretty nice except that the image loads fairly slow. It takes about 3-4 seconds to load from top to bottom which isn't sleeky at all. Is that common? I would like to keep my maximum boot resolution of 1600x1200.

thank you!

It generally takes 0.5 seconds to draw the whole screen, my boot resolution is 1600x900. Try repairing the boot disk?, sometimes though my time out is 3 seconds Chimera takes 8 seconds to boot, I repaired the disk and everything is fine now.
