Title: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P
Post by: Chevelle on April 10, 2009, 01:19:22 AM
I got a small problem with the new release. I can't boot with it. All I get it a boot1: error. I figured out its the "boot" file in the root directory. If I replace it with PC_EFIv9 version, it will boot fine. Replace it with the 2.0RC1-r431 version, I get the above error. Here is my setup:

Intel E6400
Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P
2GB Ram
7600GT

Bios set to "RAID MODE". Changed it to "AHCI Mode" OSX boots fine, so it seems to be a bug with "RAID Mode" on the GA-EP35-DS3P motherboard.

Try to manually install the boot0 and boot1h files after using the Chameleon 2.0 installer.  There is a bug in the installer, where it will not install the boot0 and boot1h sometimes.  I saw it when selecting the EFI partition option, but maybe you've come across it too in a different situation.

The installer puts the boot files in /usr/standalone/i386

Tried it both ways. Does the same thing.

I have the exact same problem with an ASUS P5E Motherboard. I also have RAID enabled but my OSX system partition isn't on it (it's the third of my primary disk, disk0s3)

It worked perfectly with PC_EFI_v9, but now that I've installed Chameleon 2 I cannot revert because it bring me a black screen (and booting with the CD still work).

Already tried to install manually, with the help of the README. I use iDeneb 1.4 (10.5.6)
