Title: Intel Ibex Peak HDA 8086:3b56 rev 06 input channels broken
Post by: piyokos on June 20, 2010, 11:41:57 PM
I'm having issues getting the audio working in my Vostro 3700.

VoodooHDA is the only "out-of-the-box" solution for getting audio playback. With the normal release, output sound does work - volume level control doesn't seem to work, but I found a patched version that did the trick, which I'm attaching to this post.

Audio input is the problem. It detects two interfaces - "black front" and "both". Both of these give weird static, I attached mp3 samples to this post.

I also attached the VoodooHDA dump log, lspci dump log of audio devices, and a sample of the dmesg containing loads of audio errors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
