Title: Possible to tell Chameleon to boot Windows volume on next boot from OSX?
Post by: Stuppy on April 27, 2009, 01:32:25 AM
Hi there,

I have 2 hard drives in my Hackintosh. 1 with OSX and one with Windows Vista. The primary boot volume is OSX. I do a lot of work remotely on my computer and sometimes wish I could tell Chameleon to select the Windows boot volume automatically on the next reboot so that I can boot into Windows remotely.

To clarify -

From OSX - tell Chameleon to auto select Windows boot volume on next reboot for one time.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

You could add a key "Default Partition" with value "hd(x,y)" of type string, where x is the drive and y is the partition number of your windows partition. You need to remove the "boot-uuid" argument from the "Kernel Flags" key for this to work, though.
