Title: Graphics Mode (Help!)
Post by: Terenc3 on December 08, 2009, 03:31:41 PM
Kudos to the great Chameleon! However, I need a little help from the gurus here! I have a ATi HD3300 IGP Graphics which I know it will never work as of now. I learn that I can input Graphics Mode in the boot.plist to force the resolution to the desired one. However, I can get Chameleon to force 1280x1024x32, but not 1360x768x32. Is there any restrictions in this area? I need 1360x768 due to the fact that my monitor can only support this resolution. Its a LCD TV Monitor, thats why..

You can only use VESA modes (as reported by your card) during boot.

You can view a list of resolutions supported by your video card in the Chameleon boot menu, look around a bit and you'll find it. The best you can do is pick the one closest to your displays native resolution.

You can use something like SwitchResX (if you find an alternative please post, It might be useful to others) to create your own custom resolutions in OS X.
