Title: Chameleon reporting my cpus wrong...
Post by: zmttoxics on August 20, 2010, 02:35:46 PM
I have a Dell P490 running 10.6.4 with Chameleon RC4 and the CPUs are reported as 3GHz Core2Duos when really its 2 x Xeon 5140s (dual cores) at 2.33ghz. I think this is causing my VMWare to crash so I would like to try and fix it. Is there a step by step guide to getting Chameleon to auto configure the correct bus / cpu information?

Thanks!

Let me just direct you to somewhere.

However, most of these changes are only cosmetic. About the CPU Detection issue, i suggest reporting it.

If you're going to be following Prasys' guide, all instances of "SMxxxxxmanufacturer" is supposed to be "SMxxxxxmanufacter".
