Title: Is the boot visually smoother using the GraphicsEnabler?

I upgraded to 10.5.8 recently and after that I get a weird display just before the desktop loads at boot. I'm using chameleon 2 rc1 on a retail install with 8800gt and wonder, is the graphicsenabler in rc2 technically better than using strings in the com.apple.Boot.plist file? Everything works now but I don't like the visual glitch at boot which I got after the 10.5.8 upgrade (upgraded directly from 10.5.3). If the graphics is loaded by chameleon, maybe the correct resolution automatically is applied at boot as well?

See if AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext is loaded, and try to "Disable" it.

Hi, thanks for the fast response. AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext was not loaded, I attach my kextstat. I get input signal out of range for an instant before the desktop loads as well, maybe the string injection "lags" somehow?
