Title: Sound stuttering (tearing) when PCM level is high - ALC662 - Snow Leopard
Post by: Ahmad on September 11, 2009, 10:13:56 PM
OK,
I'm using an ALC662 on a Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2L.
I just tried VoodooHDA with SL and I found out that sound stutters (or maybe tears would be a more appropriate explanation). Lowering PCM level to about 60% fixes it but then volume is way too low. I didn't use voodoo in Leopard, so I'm not sure if this is a SL related issue.

This stuttering is similar to what I get in windows if I don't disable front panel auto detection. Does VoodooHDA have auto detection. If so how do I disable it. I think my font panel audio is buggy. With AppleHDA front panel detection, I also get similar (but less frequent) results.

Thanks in advance
