Title: VooDooPower - Mini or ACPI?
Post by: eBalut on April 07, 2010, 03:51:45 PM
Hello,

I have an Acer Timeline 4810TZ-4696.  Installed Retail OSX 10.6 with Empire EFI v1.08, then made my hard drive bootable with MyHack v1.0.  Have since used software update to 10.6.3.  I have the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext installed and was wondering what version of VooDooPower I should install?  I have an Intel Su2700 processor.  I also checked which other extensions I have loaded thru 'About the Mac' and both AppleACPIPlatform and AppleACPIPS2Nub kexts are loaded.  Thanks.

Install the one that works for you.

Ok.  Well, I installed the Mini version first and it seemed to work fine.  Not sure about speed stepping, but the shutdown of my laptop worked much faster than before I installed VooDooPower.  Then I removed the Mini version and installed the ACPI one.  Same results, so I will use the ACPI version.
