Title: EBIOS Read Error only on some drives.
Post by: ryantc on May 12, 2009, 04:00:19 AM
So I've been doing as much diagnostics as I can and I've discovered that I have 3 drives that will make Chameleon throw out about 15 EBIOS Read Errors before starting if I have them plugged in. They are as follows:

MBR drive with HFS+ Partition / NTFS Partition

2 Drives that are setup with Raid 1 within OSX and are not primary boot drives

When I have any of those drives plugged in Chameleon throws the EBIOS Read Errors at me but will continue too boot into OSX just fine however if I hit any key it will show 4 tiny windows across the screen showing tiny green text w/black background with about 13 lines of code and just sit there till I force power off. I'm going to try some other combinations and report back to here if I figure anything out. Does anyone else have these problems with multiple partition drives?

*Update 1*

I created a GUID drive with a HFS+ / NTFS partition and received no EBIOS read errors with that drive.

Hi I also have a HFS+ / NTFS partition and get this error.
What is a GUID drive?
