Title: Safe mode -x
Post by: tobnukem on August 24, 2011, 01:10:02 PM
I'm a newbie and tried to boot my newly setup hackintosh. It resulted in a white screen and I only saw a black cursor. When I used "-x" at boot, Lion worked fine. I read in the documentation about that x-Flag. But what does the safe mode flag do and how can I figure out what is wrong in standard mode?

Found that notice in documentation: "Type -x to start up in safe mode, which ignores all cached driver files". So how can I find out which driver file is the one which is not working?

Sorry, we can't offer general Hackintosh support here. Visit the ProjectOSX or InsanelyMac forums.

Sounds like it could be a video driver problem.
