Title: 2 problems with Chameleon 2.0 r431
Post by: rik.chong on June 22, 2009, 07:49:42 AM
Hi, I had Chameleon 2.0 r431 installed on a HFS+ partition (SATA, and the disk was formatted in GUID), and everything is good.
But errors occurred when I plug my ATA drive or USB external drive into my PC:
1. If a ATA drive is plugged in, my keyboard seems to be "stuck". I move left or right, the screen freezed for a few minutes, then the selection changed. Every movement is very slow;(
2. If a USB external drive is plugged in, Chameleon crashed with "Memory allocation error ....".

Thanks in advance.

Plug in the drive and do a CMOS reset. Maybe it helps. I have no idea why but it has worked for me as a last resort several times.

Remember to enter your BIOS and set things back the way they were before you boot.

Plug in the drive and do a CMOS reset. Maybe it helps.

It may also have to do with "USB Legacy" mode on or off, if the BIOS supplies this option.

As someone pointed out on another forum, it can also be an *ATA.kext that isn't compatible with 64-bit addressing on a system with more than 3 GB RAM, and needs to be patched.

But the OP needs to post some system specs.
