Title: Chameleon as a payload
Post by: qaesar on October 17, 2011, 11:34:20 PM
I want to make a dream come true:

Having Chameleon integrated into the BIOS/EFI Flash Chip

So some questions to you guys:

1. As i understand you can mod a efi bios and put a payload in it to launch ?
Actual flash chips have (8MB) capacity. More than enough to insert chameleon.

2. Does chameleon work as an EFI payload at all ? Or do i need a normal launch.
3. Are any projects that handle this topic actually (not coreboot, its not intel compatible at this moment)

Thanks guys.

Google "RevoBoot". I believe the older version of it "Revolution" (difficult to google) could be integrated into your motherboard BIOS. The development threads can be found on InsanelyMac, I believe the original Revolution dev thread was called "How to boost the OS X boot process" or something like that.
