Chameleon don't show up
« on: June 14, 2009, 01:30:16 PM »
Hello
I've got a EP43-DS3L motherboard.
Found install instructions for this which I followed.

I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on a USB stick, then installed retail Leopard on my hard drive.
After this I downloaded and installed 10.5.6 combo update for the retail Leopard install.
Then I ran UnversalInstaller and a post-patch script(these came with a zip for my motherboard).
And then I installed Chameleon 2.0 RC 1. I checked the EFI checkbox.

When I restart my computer there's no boot loader.
If I boot from my hard drive where I installed retail Leopard I get a panic error.
I'm assuming this is because there's no boot loader..?

The attached photo shows output when booting retail install with -v flag. No error message, it just stops...
Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please help me out.

I'm guessing you ned to remove AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement or add a Disabler.

Thank you for the reply!
To remove it, should I simply locate AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext and remove it?
Or unload it? How? By using kextunload?

I have now removed AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext, and my OS X install boots up! Thank you.

But... The chameleon boot loader still does not show  ???

That's strange?
Have you tried re-installing Chameleon?
