this fix is in Dr. Hurt & blackosx "Chameleon_2_RC5_pre8_R2.zip"
and it works great, hope to be added to the RC5

Advantages:
Windows Vista/7 boot loader will no longer break.
Chameleon boot loader will start even if the Windows partition is the one set active. (fixes Windows sleep issue).
All the advantages of the new boot loader and prefpane.

if i am not mistaken, this issue has been addressed a long time ago by introducing fdisk440 modded to update only the first 440 bytes in the MBR.
that way chameleon does not have to be installed on an active partition and windows sleep is not affected.

please read THIS topic and check.

i used the "ChameleonRC5.rev445.pkg.zip" package

but after installing it and restart, windows boots and i don't even see the chameleon boot-loader

then i used "EasyBCD 2" to boot my hackintosh and the chameleon loaded but it restart immediately after i choose the mac partition

so i reinstalled the "Chameleon_2_RC5_pre8_R2.zip" and chameleon works again like charm !!!!!!

my partitions are as following:

I'm pretty sure, that "Chameleon_2_RC5_pre8_R2.zip" installs the boot0hfs in the MBR, that's why it works like a charm :)

Hi yehia2amer

As zarac pointed to, and Zef correctly identified, Dr. Hurt added the commands from the attachment here in to his script for his package installer to add a modified boot0 to the first 440 bytes of the MBR. That method has been superceded and the solution now exists by using fdisk440 to write the official boot0hfs to the first 440 bytes of the MBR instead of boot0.

If you want the latest files then here's boot0hfs from build r445, along with fdisk440.

thanks Blackosx, zef, zarac , it was a bug on r445, but r452 works great.
