EthernetBuiltIn Not working?
« on: September 23, 2010, 11:35:08 PM »
I have EthernetBuiltIn set to Yes, and have installed Chameleon following the guides for installing to a RAID. OS X boot properly, and recognizes my Ethernet (RTL8111E) thanks to Lnx2Mac (http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/p/realtekrtl81xx-osx-driver.html). However, I can get OS X to recognize my Ethernet as Built In. I have set EthernetBuiltIn to Yes on both slices, but the system recognizes it as not built in. Is this my RAID's fault? or is there something else at play. Any advice would be deeply appreciated, thanks.

Try setting PCIRoot=1 in /extra/com.apple.Boot.plist. The default is 0 but that doesn't work on everything.

I don't have any first hand experience with booting OS X on a RAID setup so I can't help you there.

If you suspect that RAID is causing this issue then try disabling it.
