Boot GUI not full screen - Radeon 58xx

Edit:  Flashed my video card's bios so that 1920x1080 is in it's list of VESA resolutions,  now the res looks right.  But the theme still doesn't fill the screen.  I've already edited the Theme.plist to have the right resolution and it didn't resolve it.  Any ideas?

I can't help you with this issue, I have 0 experience with ATI cards on Hacks.

No suggestions?  I'm reading that others have this issue, only with 16:9 aspect ratio.  Seems like a bug or something with Chamelion that'd need to be patched.

It really doesn't have anything to do with Chameleon.

It's not Chameleon's fault that your video card doesn't provide a VESA mode that matches the native resolution of your monitor.

/EDIT - Right. well done for patching your BIOS.

My display is 1280x1024 5:4 and themes display correctly. I was unaware that there was a "16:9 issue" with themes not filling up the screen.  It's a weird one.

Did you edit the resolution in theme.plist in both places?

Yeah, I flashed my video card's bios so it's putting out the right res.  I did edit the theme.plist in both places for 1920x1080 and still have the borders.  I even downloaded another theme from the forums here (the FBI one) that said it was 1920x1080 and it displays the same.

Strange thing is that I borrowed a friends monitor which is a 1900x1200 (16:10) and flashed my video card bios for that res and it displays perfectly.  I wouldn't count that as a fix though cause I had to give the monitor back.
